Heraeus Medical Components Division acquired the interventional business unit of Synovis Life Technologies on February 1 2008. Synovis Interventional provides contract services to develop, prototype, manufacture and design complex micro-wires, molded polymer and micro-machined metal components used in interventional devices, primarily for cardiac rhythm management (CRM) and other medical markets. The combination of Heraeus MCD and Synovis Interventional will create one of the largest medical component manufacturers in the US. We will be well positioned with most major medical device companies and look forward to an exciting 2008.
